London, UK, 1 July 2025  - Root Platform (Root), the API-first core platform for delegated authority business, is pleased to announce the appointment of Cameron Parsons as Head of Business Development UK. This strategic hire further signals Root’s commitment to the UK market as it continues to scale its operations and empower insurers, MGAs, and insurtechs to build programmable insurance products and digital-first experiences.

Cameron brings a wealth of experience in driving commercial growth and digital innovation, having held senior roles at Uinsure, where he served as Head of Sales and previously as Head of Digital Optimisation. Prior to that, Cameron was Head of Product Development at Smartr365. His proven ability to build partnerships, develop digital distribution strategies, and lead high-performing teams positions him perfectly to lead Root’s UK business development.

Cameron will work alongside Oliver Evans, who recently joined the Root team  as Head of Growth UK. Together, they will spearhead Root’s UK expansion and deliver on the company’s mission to simplify and modernise insurance through flexible, API-driven solutions.
